How to Add a Checkpoint

Hover over the Properties tab Property Maintenance Select Property Checkpoints Add New Checkpoint.

  1. Checkpoint Name. The field name entered here is only seen and used to identify the name of the Checkpoint you are adding to the Checkpoint List under the Property Details area.

  2. Checkpoint Location: Enter where the physical QR Code, Barcode, or NFC Tag is located or intended to be scanned. 

  3. QR Code Value: Create the QR Code value or enter the Barcode or NFC Tag value here.

    QR Code TIP: When creating QR Code Values, it is highly recommended to minimize the number of characters to 10 or less and not to use symbols; use letters and numbers only.

  4. Select a Property Address: Select from a drop-down menu of existing addresses to be selected for this property.

  5.  Select a Checkpoint Unit (Optional): This field allows all entered Unit numbers to be selected. The selected Unit number will auto-generate in all system reports and the Issue Details screen via the Issue Monitor upon scan.

  6. Checkpoint Issue Type:  In this field, you may select a Security Issue type from the existing list of issue types you have created. 

NOTE: The Security Issue Type selected is EXACTLY how it will appear in the Issue Monitor.

    7. Auto Create Issue Type: Each Checkpoint must to tied to an issue type. Instead of selecting an issue type from the existing list of issue types you have created, you should click the Auto Create Issue Type. This automatically creates an issue type tied to the Checkpoint and mirrors the Checkpoint Name. When selected, a pop-up Alert Message will appear:



   
8. Report Notes: The information in this box will appear in the Daily Activity Report. This should be written in the past tense as reporting what the officer DID.

   9. Checkpoint Instructions: Thi information will appear on the mobile device when the checkpoint is scanned. The user must acknowledge these instructions by clicking "OK" on the handheld device. This should be written in the present tense as if instructing the officer what to do.

   10. Is Active: This check box allows the created checkpoint to be turned on or off at any time without having to delete the checkpoint.

   
11. Allow Keep Open: NOT Recommended for Checkpoint Scanning! Checking this box will allow your officers in the field to make edits to the reported details after scanning the QR code. The issue will be treated as open and may be closed anytime.

   12. Require Photo: Recommended. Checking this box will open the camera once the checkpoint instructions have been read and require a photo to be added before the issue is submitted.

   13. Report if Missed: Optional. Checking this box will include this checkpoint in the "Missed Checkpoints" report that can be set up to be sent out daily.

   14. Add/Save Checkpoint: After completing all the previous steps, press Add/Save Checkpoint to add the checkpoint to the property.
