I received a question from a customer who was trying to find a way to deploy more durable QR codes. Here is the question I received:
"We are noticing that during rain and high humidity the outside QR codes we print and laminate are difficult to scan. Do you guys have a solution to prevent that issue?"
This problem is actually really common so here is the answer I provided our customer.
Answer: "This is definitely an issue we have helped several customers address. The most common solution is to use a QR book rather than posting the QR code on site. This works because:
-
The QR codes are GPS pinpointed.
-
You can require a photo to be included with each QR code.
A few benefits to doing it this way:
-
You don't have to worry about posting QR codes all over the property (which saves time and headache)
-
You don't have to worry about QR codes going missing, falling off, or not being able to scan.
-
Including photos increases visibility and is received well by most clients.

Order Plastic QR Codes
The other alternative is to get the QR code printed on a hard plastic. I recommend http://www.plasticprinters.com/die-cut-cards/ (if you scroll down you'll see a 1"x1" option that should work well).
