Silvertrac currently does not have plans of including video capture as a feature in the handheld app. However, we understand that occasionally your officer's may capture a video that you'd like to share with your client and include in Silvertrac.

So we've created a free and easy work around using Google Drive.

This will allow your officers to use the phone's camera and storage to capture the video and then email it to your management team. Once you've received the video from the officer follow the steps below to share it with your client and attach it to an issue in Silvertrac.

1. Set Up a Google Drive Account

Google Drive is a file storage service created by Google. It allows users to store files in the cloud and share with collaborators.

In this case we'll use Google Drive to store those videos and create a shareable link that you can send to your clients and attach to an existing issue in Silvertrac.

Here is a video on how to setup a Google Drive Account.

2. Upload and Share Your Video Through Drive

Once you have received a video from your officer you can follow these steps to create a shareable link that can be sent to your client. Here is another video that will walk you through this process.

We cover this in detail in the video above.
